"Serpent Crown" is the long awaited third album by German death metal act Wound. The album deals with various abysmal facets of humanity in terms of content. "Serpent Crown" stands for the exact opposite of the religious word creation "Crown of Creation", according to which the “benevolent“ man makes himself subject to the earth. In many cases this self-exaltation of mankind is based on invented and embellished stories. Destructiveness, ignorance and exploitation of the environment have always been part of being human.
